To All The Releases of 2022
To 2022, I don’t know how it’s come to you. Does anyone else feel like this year went by in a blur? I swear, it feels like. The first half of 2021, felt like absolute burn-out for me and then summer was trying to recover from that burn-out. Then the second half of 2021 felt like maybe things were getting better and I felt better than my burn-out. But then recently, I think of the year and find myself thinking that it’s 2020, when it’s 2021. I don’t know if that’s my brain trying to replace the utter heckhole last year felt like and my brain felt like last year never happened, but it’s been such a weird experience, because I really get confused about which year it is.
So I don’t know how the heck we’re going to be in 2022.
That’s freaking wild.
It’s been a long year full of content, mostly book content, if I’m being honest. I haven’t really had much time to watch shows and movies because this is my last year of college, so the workload has been heavy. As mentioned before, I felt extremely burnt out from February to May this year because I had so many difficult classes and no time to breathe. It felt like a weight was on my chest and I couldn’t escape it until school was over. My second semester was less pressure, but still a lot of work. I don’t know how my last semester is going to go, but I hope I won’t feel as depleted as I did last winter/spring. Suffice to say, I didn’t watch many shows or movies this year. I haven’t been to a theater since June or July 2019. The last movie I watched in theaters was Spiderman: Far From Home because, as you’ll see, I’m a Marvel fanatic. It’s kind of crazy to write this post in December of 2021 when Spiderman: No Way Home just came out yesterday, December 17. People have been posting spoilers and I have been trying to avoid them because I genuinely am so ecstatic and want to watch Spiderman: No Way Home ♥️🕸. I love love love Tom Holland and Zendaya and Jacob. They are such a dynamic and fun duo. I also LOVE Tom Holland and Zendaya together. What a beautiful couple and I wish them nothing but happiness. They look so happy and natural together and I love love.
Sorry, I got on a tangent there. If you follow my Instagram, I have been posting nonstop stories about my love for Tom and Zendaya 😂.
But, I have watched many shows and movies, probably not a lot compared to others. I wrote about the shows and movies I watched on my favorite lessons and moments of 2021 post.
I’m excited for the upcoming content because it seems like an epic year of action, drama, and romance. Also, we all just need a form of escape sometimes from the harsh realties or stress of the world. Movies, shows, and books all provide lovable stories that help us find hope in a difficult world.
Without further ado, here are my most anticipated movies, shows, and books of 2022 🎉💗.

So you’ll notice that most of my movie preferences gear towards super heroes, action, and well, Disney 😂.
That’s pretty much me in a nutshell.
I would cry for a Marvel movie and a Disney movie. Those are the top two criteras of how I figure out what movies I want to watch. The third tier would probably be if a movie is a book to movie adaptation or a Netflix film because sometimes Netflix has really good movies. For the life of me, I can’t keep up with Netflix movies because they seem to drop every week, and as last semester college student, I really don’t have the time 😅.
But for a Marvel movie, I was gladly carve out the time, and that’s a fact.
Multiverse of Madness
Release Date: May 6, 2022
This is definitely one of my most hyped films for next year.
If you’ve watched Wandavision and Loki, you know EXACTLY what I mean.
I don’t typically watch rated R movies (even though I am of age) and I don’t swing towards horror because I’m a scared cat. I think The Suite Life of Zack and Cody episode of The Ghost of Suite 613 traumatized me 🤪. You know, the episode where Estaban goes all creepy and there’s that woman in the painting. Shivers, I tell you shivers. And nightmares. Bro, that was scary enough.
But for Marvel?
I would watch a horror and rated R movie.
Yikes.
I’ll let you know if I make it through. Wish me luck.
Thor Love and Thunder
Release Date: July 8, 2022
I’m a Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston stan.
And a Thor fan.
Thor was one of the first Marvel movies I didn’t fall asleep to when I was eight years old 😂. I just loved the comedy, the Asgardian feel. Thor movies, to me, are underrated and always such a good time. I love Loki, the costume, the setting. I’m so excited to see Natalie Portman return as Jane Foster and see her come into a strong, empowering role.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever
Release Date: November 11, 2022
When I walked out of the theater after watching The Black Panther, I can’t even describe the utter magic and astonishment I had.
Black Panther was such a wonderful, beautiful, stunning cinematic masterpiece and I had so much love in my heart and excitement for this new world in the Marvel universe.
I am devastated that the movies will not be graced with the brilliance and love of Chadwick Boseman, but I know his essence and his heart will be in this film. This movie is going to honor him and his power and I’m ready for it. 💚
Lightyear
Release Date: June 17, 2022
You know, I didn’t think that Pixar could or would make another movie relating to Toy Story. Not because I didn’t want another movie relating to Toy Story, but I just didn’t know how they could do so with the heart-warming and phenomenal films they already created.
But they did it again, and am I going to watch it?
To infinity and beyond.
I think it’s clever, though, how I never thought about how Buzz Lightyear would be based on a person because most action figures are based on a character or a person. Really smart if you ask me, that they turned Buzz into a film.
And you know, Chris Evans voices him 😆!
Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom
Release Date: December 16, 2022
This probably seems off for the Marvel and Disney theme I had going on, but I am a Marvel and DC fan 🙈. Don’t come for me.
I think Marvel, sorry, I know Marvel creates better movies and now TV shows, but for a long time, DC created really good TV shows on the CW with shows like The Flash, Arrow, Supergirl, Stargirl, Superman & Lois. And I love all those CW superhero shows.
I’m also not really a huge movie or show critic, and if a show or movie makes me feel good or happy or makes me learn something I never thought I needed to learn, it’s easy for me to love a show or movie. I’m not real into overanalyzing movies or shows because I’ve never read the comics. But as a reader, I can understand how some comics don’t accurately depict what people want. When I see a book to movie adaptation with all these changes and it doesn’t do the show justice, I’m like, “Well, that sucked.” So I’m not one to judge people who aren’t big DC or Marvel fans because I don’t know much about the comics. I do respect fans and it’s eye-opening to hear their perspective.
I just love what I watch and that’s that.
Personally, I loved the first Aquaman, but again, I’m no comic reader or movie critic—just a lover of hero’s.
I’m excited.
Legally Blonde 3

There were three movies I watched religiously when I was seven and eight.
1. White Chicks
2. 13 Going 30
3. Legally Blonde
I had no idea what any of those movies actually meant at that age, but I loved them 💗. They were funny, but even funnier now that I’m older and understand the humor.
But I am a Reese Witherspoon fanatic. I know the bend and snap. I watched all the legally blonde franchise movies like Legally Blondes.
I love love love Legally Blonde because it’s empowering to see a woman who others thought was not smart because of her looks, prove everyone entirely wrong 👏🏼.

Stranger Things Season 4
Release Date: I’m thinking summer 2022
Gosh this has been the longest wait for a season 😂.
I know with everything last year and this year, filming was extremely cautious and difficult, which is fine because I would rather the cast and crew be safe and healthy.
But the 18 year old me who finished season three, three years ago, was holding out for season four.
I mean, we’ve been getting teasers over the years and I just craved season four.
I’m glad we’re finally getting it, gosh knows the actors and actresses have grown up. I want the creepy. I want the wild. I want the messed up. I want the drama. I want the romance. I want to see Jamie Campbell Bower kill it in his new role 😅 (that’s for my TMI fans). I want season four ♥️.
Bridgerton Season 2
Release Date: I’m thinking sometime near winter in 2022
I say winter because Bridgeton season 1 came out last December.
I don’t even need to write anything for this.
I’m HYPED.
Season one was smutty, it was post, it was intriguing. The music, the attire, the drama, the romance—-perfection 👌🏼.
Kind of disappointed though that Reage and Phoebe’s relationship won’t be shown in the show anymore 😢.

As I stated before, I’m a Marvel fanatic. I have no idea what this show is going to be about. But it’s Marvel, so, I’m just going to watch it 😂.

Also as stated before, I loved 13 Going 30 growing up. So, naturally, I’m a fan of Mark Ruffalo. I know this show probably has nothing to do with Mark Ruffalo because this is about a woman hulk, but I hope he makes a cameo. But I’m excited to see a big, bad, kickbutt hulk woman. Also, Jameela Jamil is in this andI loved her in The Good Place.
Ms. Marvel
Release Date: I’m thinking summer or fall of 2022
Again, I have no clue what Ms. Marvel is about, but I love the idea of a younger superhero because most superheroes are played by older actors and actresses.
I always thought how cool it would be if the Marvel superhero had kids—maybe they do have kids and I just don’t know because I didn’t read the comics—and the kids fought in the Marvel Cinematic world. That would be pretty darn cool.
📚📖 Books 📚📖
This wouldn’t be much of a book blog if I didn’t mention the books I’m already adding to my never-ending TBR list 😂. It just seems like authors keep popping out books, and I have absotultey no time to read them. I mean, I make time, but then more books come and they sit on my shelf until I pick them up and read them. It’s a whole ordeal. I love that more books are coming because, give me the content, but UGH, just the time to read them is nonexistent in my schedule sometimes.
It’s rough being a college student who would rather read ✌🏼.
Over the last few years, I have found myself gravitating more and more to New Adult (NA) romance, which is fitting considering how I’m kind of a new adult, but not really a new adult. I’m a young-new adult, if that makes sense. I love both genres to pieces because there’s something so unique and different about each genre, especially if you’re looking for something more with what you’re reading.
Fantasy books also have my whole heart, and to be quite honest, I love fantasy books more than romance books. I guess, it depends on my mood. But fantasy books are more interesting to me with the drama, history, and story-telling. I also fell in love with reading by reading fantasy books like Divergent, The Mortal Instruments, Shatter Me, Legend, Vampire Academy, Throne of Glass, The Lunar Chronicles. The list goes on and on. But I read so much fantasy growing up because I needed more of an escape from the hardships in my life. I still need an escape, heck, in this pandemic, we all do, but I find myself reading less fantasy because it’s high commitment to read fantasy. I want to be fully immersed in the world and understand everything going on. But with school and focusing on graduating, it’s been hard to want to read a fantasy when I know I can’t devote the time and focus I want to give to a fantasy book to fully love it. Does anyone else relate to that?
I don’t know. But it’s been hard because I have found myself wanting to read fantasy more and more the last year with realizing how much I missed the genre, but then being sad because I know I should wait to read them when I have time—like summer or a proper break.
One of my reading goals next year is to start more fantasy series 💜.
Also, there’s nothing wrong with romance because I LOVE romance books, but fantasy has always been my first love.
